Devastated dog cries alone every night after landing in kennel for second time
An adorable has been spotted crying alone after ending up in kennels for the second time in her short life. Roxy was taken in by Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in 2017 after wandering the streets of New York alone in search for safety.
After spending some time in the shelter, her confidence grew and she was able to secure a new home. However, she has been returned to the animal shelter again, through no fault of her own after her owner found himself homeless.
In a heart-breaking clip, little Roxy is seen crying alone in her kennel as she waits for a potential owner to show up and take her home. The video reads: "Senior girl Roxy howls hoping someone will hear her cries for a new home. Please hear her. Come meet her today."
In a separate appeal, the centre said: "She needs a home that will allow her to decompress after being in and out of the shelter system.
"Roxy deserves an adult home, low-traffic, where she gets to be who she really is. She's good on leash, accepts rewards happily and enjoys to be pet. She needs a home where she can experience the with her trusting family; providing support and positive reinforcement."
